Reflection and glare are the twin challenges of glass and ceramics. Sometimes it's nearly impossible to eliminate, so it must be creatively integrated into the photograph. But glass and ceramic can also produce arresting images when properly approached.
As with sculpture, it's important to think ahead, to identify the elements of your work that are most important to present. Do you want your work well lit, or to convey dramatic aspects through shadow. Are there lines or curves, or other features that define a particular piece? Such questions are best thought about and discussed ahead of time, to insure fidelity to your vision.
